The PADI Equipment Specialty Class is designed to help protect your investment and your diving enjoyment. It is designed to provide information on how to properly care for your diving equipment once it has been purchased. Proper maintenance procedures can enhance the useful life of your diving equipment, thereby maximizing your diving dollars. The subject of scuba equipment maintenance is a vitally important one if the field of diving education. Using scuba equipment that has been neglected or improperly maintained may be increasing the risk of diving accidents. By Learning how to care for all types of diving equipment and their components, from simplest O-ring to something as complex as your regulator. Each year numerous diving excursions are upset by last minute equipments malfunctions, by a lack of spare parts form field repairs, or simply by a lack of basic knowledge concerning the operation of scuba equipment. Don't let equipment trouble ruin your expensive diving vacation. Whether you dive once a week, once a month, or just once a year, you can be informed through this course to increase your chances of trouble free diving. Prerequisite:Must be 12 years of age or older. Must be a certified Open Water diver. If you have your own regulator and BCD, we suggest you bring them.
